Jean's Trinidad Foods - Montréal

I've sampled most if not all of the surprisingly small amount of Carribean restaurants in Montreal and this one is undoubtedly the best. Fresh ingredients and breads all made on the spot. The Roti's are mouth-wateringly sumptuous, filled with meat, taters and their secret sauce. Great really authentic food and drink in every way starting with the Doubles appetizer, and the real Gingerbeer for the hearty. Very small with only a couple of tables but they do a huge Take-Out business with the discerning local NDG food affictionato's.

Delicious! only flat, 15% application if you eat on site while the menu shows taxes included. cash only.

Amazing Trinidadian food, amazing staff, the cook does everything from scratch...to your liking! She's super friendly and accommodating if there was 10 stars I would give her 10 in a flash!

Everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients while you wait. Nice little Terrace. Roti's can be whole wheat or white flour. Great fresh homemade drinks made on site.

Stopped by at 8:30 pm and ordered a whole-wheat vegetarian roti with some homemade sorel (perfectly sugar-free). I used the railing outside to stretch while waiting for our food. It was hands down the best roti I ever had. Val was very welcoming and warm. Now I want to go every week!
