We have taken the same menu that we liked very much: "burratina e caponata" in the entrance and "porchetta del nono, rapini, pero" as main dish. the burratina rests on a bed of delicious and hot mushrooms, which slowly warm the cheese. It's very good, but I would have preferred cheese at room temperature and not cold. The main dish is always as impressive, with a generous portion of pork, surrounded by its crunchy fat that I couldn't resist. rapini and hot pears marry very well with pork. everything melted in the mouth. We would have wanted to have a dessert but unfortunately we had no place left after the porchetta. The service was done with kindness and efficiency. This restaurant remains a good choice. its classic dishes, which ensured its initial success, remain excellent.
We went out to see a tohu show and starving planes, so I offered my girlfriend to go eat pasta in the little italia. this restaurant was in my "to-do list" since its opening and looked promising. arrived at a late hour (22:10).There were a few customers in the customer but it was felt that the restaurant was closing at 11:00. We choose to sit inside because the terrace closes at 11:00, says the waitress. We're on the map. We choose pasta with seafood (32$) and my girlfriend with pesto (29$) 2 glasses of wine (20$.) we are served, we eat, in the first observation, the pasta is not cooked enough....without more in the mouth.... we finish our plate... the last customers leave... we are the last...I ask the invoice 105... quite expensive yes... Yes, just for pasta and wine! Whoa! Yes, the place is very stylish
Good restaurant in the small italia. obviously there are pasta on the menu. fresh homemade pasta with an aldente cooking, really good. there is a good selection of Italian wines, glass and bottle. the selection of meats in the entrance for two is excellent, with terrine, paste, and three scutters with olives and bread (a very good choice) to begin. There are at least 5 choices of pasta dishes, with an entrance price or a main dish (from $15 to $30), and otherwise a dish of fish, lamb or pork. prices are a little expensive but the quality of the dishes is indisputable. dessert cannolis, with a mascarpone filling, pistachio and lemon is decadent. There is a small terrace on the dante street. simple interior decor with open kitchen view. efficient service.
In the italian district of Montreal, the restaurant offers delicious food, well thought and presented. The service is good. It is better to reserve.
Came by Impasto on impulse and we were not disappointed. The place was busy on a Saturday but we were able to get a seat on the terrace. It was a beautiful evening and it was a great meal. The menu is quite small but everything looked great. We started with melon and prosciutto drizzled in olive oil - never seen that before - it was something I will be trying when I get home! A unique taste experience. We also shared a pasta - the Agnolotti - first time for me...no the last. wonderful sauce. My wife had the turbot and I had the pork roast...I won. Incredible. Need to learn how to do it!! A wonderful wine and a great service - highly recommended!
