Dunn's Famous Decarie - Montréal

Went to Dunn's with a group of 7 while visiting Montreal for work. I visited the downtown location in the fall and recommend Dunn's as an authentic local option for the group.I ordered the latkes to start. They weren't as good as the downtown location but were still ok. I went with the super combo smoked meat for the main and upgraded the fries to poutine. The smoked meat is amazing, the main reason I recommend Dunn's to the group. The portion size are extremely generous, great value for the price.The menu is extremely extensive, definitely an option for everyone's tastes. I would recommend hitting up a Dunn's Famous location when in Montreal. Can't wait to return.

The food here is a true feel and taste of Montréal. It's one of my top three choices for smoke meat in this city.Service here is awesome. Dinning in or taking out they are fast and efficient. I can't remember if they ever messed up an order for myself or family.Atmosphere is a little tacky but gives a Montréal vibe you won't find anywhere else.

The grilled cheese was lacking in flavor, and the coleslaw was also quite bland. On the other hand, the sliced chicken sandwich was better, with tender chicken and fresh lettuce and tomato. However, the real star of the show was the smoked meat sandwich, with juicy, flavorful meat and a generous portion size. While waiting for our takeout order, we used the restaurant's bathrooms. The interior was a bit dim, and although there is a patio, it only consists of a few parking spots in a fenced-off area, so the atmosphere is not the best. However, it is an option for those looking to dine outside. The staff at Dunn's were friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend trying their smoked meat, but for other menu items, you may want to look elsewhere. Parking is plentiful and free on-site.

Hadn't been here for a while and as always was really looking forward to it.__It was after 1 PM and the restaurant was at least 75% full.
