We stumbled upon this authentic Chongqing restaurant while searching for a new dining spot downtown on a Friday night! The atmosphere was quiet and clean, which we appreciated, and the noodles were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The portions were generous! Although the braided beef soup looked sharp, it actually wasn't. The Zhajiangmian was very flavorful with lots of peppercorns. We will definitely be returning to try out the other items on the menu!
I absolutely adore this restaurant! The menu offers a variety of interesting authentic Chinese dishes and the noodles are truly amazing. The establishment is extremely clean, the atmosphere is calming and inviting. The staff is very friendly, and it's entertaining to watch the chefs cooking in the open kitchen. If you enjoy spicy food, the Spicy Beef soup with noodles is a must-try, it's absolutely delicious. Just be warned, it is packed with flavors and the Szechuan pepper gives a numbing sensation. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable. While the stir-fried dishes seemed to be lacking in protein, the noodle dishes are definitely worth trying.
If you like Chongqing style food or spicy food in general, this is a great place for you. The Chongqing style noodles are very authentic and the Chongqing style sausages are fantastic. The service is not bad because the owner is a great guy. No complaints.
This place feels like eating a delicious home cooked meal. Incredible atmosphere, nice people and, most importantly, delicious food! Terry will make you feel like family and the food will speak for itself. Also, his dish recommendations are spot on!
