Contribuiți la feedbackI highly recommend this restaurant. It's a delight to bring a bottle of wine and enjoy a four-course meal for under $20.
The food is good, that was the chicken grenn curry as far as I am concern. With a little fancy heating dish with a candle. Located next to the lafontaine park the spot is good after of relaxing afternoon in the park.Quite cheap so it makes it even better. You can bring your own beer and wine as well (they actually do not serve any)
I recently had dinner at this restaurant. The dining room is very nice and quiet which is rare nowadays. We chose the table d'Hôte.I chose the sweet and sour soup and my friend had shrimp Thai soup. Both we're quite good. Then we had duck rolls that we're not very tasty. My friend had chicken casserole with coconut milk and I had Szechwan shrimps with a thick red sauce. Disappointing. It was served with rice and the rice was not well cooked. Our waitress was very nice, efficient. This is a bring your wine which is great. This is not an expensive place
The Service: Below the minimum expected of an ordinary restaurant, arrogant, inattentive, high-wire tip sucking, I-may-care attitude of a tourist trap —very unpleasant. The food: We had the green curry chicken. It was just some petty pieces swimming in 1 cup of over-diluted liquid, no herbs, no taste. Not bad if one loves food court gastronomy, but much more expensive and much less generous. One guesses the recipe for the complete service of the day fairly easily: two sliced breasts floured in starch (to increase volume), MSG (most likely), one onion, one broccoli, one zucchini, a quarter of a can of baby corn, half a teaspoon of canned "green curry", a can of coconut milk and seemingly at least eight liters of water! A small ladle per person and voila! Rice is served as an extra only, as if this dish could be eaten without rice. And surprise! Two tablespoons of rice fluffed to inflated this amount so miserable that it exceeds the worst comic scenario. Nothing authentically Chinese or Asian. You also have to ask for chopsticks, they are not offered. An employee of this morality deficient greasy spoon passed by with his own plate. It had no common measure with the infamous grub served to the poor pigeons sitting slavishly at the tables. His plate was full to bursting and looked appetizing, especially after the meager pittance I had swallowed. The price: This dish with rice, tax and tip, without any drinks, appetizers, dessert or pride, for one person: $ 23. There was, in my opinion, less than $ 1 worth of ingredients. The setting: Ahh, the decor... Like a turd in tissue paper, all the effort is on the look.
This has to be one of the most underrated restaurants in Montreal. Yesterday I submitted a review regarding what is probably the most over-rated and then we go out on a rainy night and stop at the first place we find open and walk into a amazing little piece of Asia. Thank you most sincerely for such a superb meal.
