Bombay Mahal Thali - Montréal

Delicious! I ordered the Oignon Bhaji and Lamb Korma. The bhaji's were really nice! Very mild but well seasoned and warm. I wish there had been some kind of yoghurt based sauce on the side but I didn't ask so maybe they did have one. The lamb was perfect. It came in this really sweet sauce. I also got to taste some naan bread from other people's order and it was really good as well. The location was big and we had a good spot given that we were a group of about 15 people. The service and the location were great! Air conditioning, food was served warm, and it was clean. The only thing I didn't think was great was that, unless you ordered the Thali, most of the meals don't come with rice or naan on the side. You pay 10-12$ and you only get the plate you ordered. It can get quite expensive once you add a side and an entree. This place is indian fast food but decent indian fast food! Would definitely come back and try their thali for lunch.

They're known for their butter chicken, which is the most delicious thing on their menu in my opinion. The rest tastes okay. Thali is the most affordable, from 9 to 11$ but the servings are small, they didn't satisfy my hunger. They also didn't have Kabab thali, i had to chose something else. Prices are a bit more expensive for a dish, they ranged from 12 to 15$ , not including rice or Naan (bread). The service isn't the best, the waitress was busy, so she forgot to serve me. I had to get up and get my own menu, order and pay at the counter, you can say that I didn't need to tip but the cashier never gave back my change!

They have to learn how customer service works in North America. Poor Indian mindset, I ordered Chana Samosa which had nothing but extensive taste of Turmeric (One of the Spices used in Indian style cooking). Still, They didn 't bother or have a courtesy of having what went wrong. Would not recommend for service.

The portion size could have been more generous for the price, and the food quality was adequate but not exceptional. However, I enjoyed the soothing instrumental music playing in the background. The customer service was subpar as they did not refill my water throughout the meal, and there were few other patrons in the restaurant.

Worst Indian food ever tasted in Canada. We ordered spicy curry but leave aside the spice instead the food was sweet as dessert. When complaining to the authority, they just ignored the complain. If u want to eat dessert in your main course do visit.
