I find that a whole hawg is getting to be too much for me to eat (I didn't think so in university though) with 9 ribs and some tomato rice and fries and a bun. But with three teenagers, there is always someone to pick up what I can't stomach. My wife orders the chicken (always has) and thinks it is much better than the ribs. I love the place for the Montréal Canadien history throughout the cramped walls and ceilings of this eclectic spot near Concordia University. Great place for a unique ribs presentation. Highly recommend!
We went there for lunch time, service was perfect and almost no wait time, oder the combo, Ribs and Chicken, the chicken was very good and the ribs were perfect, best ribs I ever taste, if your in Montreal do not hesitate and try them !!!
Great place. Made my kids and I feel like family. Food was great. Service excellent and my kids even got official hats to mark the occasion. Definitely will return.
Easily the best ribs in town. The lunch special is well worth having and is very economical. I am sure you'd enjoy it!
Just like all the other reviews note the decor is old school but once we were seated and eating it really was part of the experience. Lots of photos of Ice Hockey players along with some Expos baseball players. Like many of the best places we found it on accident. It was raining in the city and we were looking for something to eat. I spotted the Bar Barn awning and said lets check that out. It looks dated and has a sign that reads "smile you're on Camera". We decided to give it a try and were glad we did.It was me my wife and 2 kids. 3 of us got the chicken and ribs combo with a sampling of each of the sides (mashed potatoes, fries, onion rings, and rice). My 10 year old ordered a small portion of ribs. We all agreed the ribs were soooo good! The chicken was good don't get me wrong but we all said next time we're going all Ribs. The wife and kids loved the spicy rice they serve, not sure what it was called but they loved it. Service was great, when we were done I asked for a box (you can't eat it all) and the waitress said I will do it you're here to relax. She took our plates and boxed up everything that was left. We did it up and got the full combos, for a family of 4 we spent ~$130 CND tip included and we left with food which was a great snack. We would definitely eat her again next time we're in Montreal.
