Bangkok Cuisine - Montréal

How sad, this does not at all live up to what we knew and loved coming out of their kitchen when they were set up at the Faubourg.

I was happy to hear that they found a new place to setup shop since the faubourg closed even though it's on the other side of town.Menu has changed, no more c-food pad thai but their chicken one hasn't changed a bit, delicious and spicy!They offer a 10% discount on pickups but call ahead, the last time we called they said it would be a 45 minute wait.Looks like Mama found a place to cook, let's hope it sticks and they can deliver to old area eventually.

This was a new restaurant for me. They serve very good, well portioned Thai food here. The flavors are very delicate, perhaps too delicate. The lemongrass soup was hot and nice, but not even a whisper of the chili that normally populates this soup. If I had known, I would have asked for it. I had a wonderful calamari dish with pepper and garlic and saffron rice. The fish was delicious as well as the sauce, but once again, the garlic and the pepper were very faint and no hint again of chili pepper. If I had known I would ask. If you avoid Thai because of the heat, you will be happy here. Even without the heat, this food is very well prepared and flavorful. And... you can always ask them to "kick it up a notch with heat." I am sure they will comply.

I don't want to say poor so I guess average will do. Already I was not impressed with the service after waiting so long just to get the water. Even the table next to us asked for water and they were halfway through their meal.I chose something on the menu but when the plate came it was definitely not the same picture is on the menu.Not once did the server, and ask if everything was OK and we got our water refilled way after we were finished eating. We are waiting for somebody to come back and ask us if we were done and wanted the bill but no one did so we assumed we had to go to the cash and pay. We waited about six minutes just to pay as our server and the other person walked around in front and behind us a number of times never acknowledging. When another customer came behind us she then came to have him pay before us.Not impressed and for both of us who enjoy Thai food, this was not in our top 10.I did not take any pictures because I was not going to bother making a review but then after the service we got, I changed my mind.Usually when I don't enjoy a place I don't really bother but this restaurant location used to be a great place and I guess they sold to these owners.

We travel often so eating at restos is almost a daily occurence with us, therefore, i cannot write a review for every single place i've eaten. So i take the time to review places i feel deserve special mention and this one is no exception....More
