What a beautiful discovery, behind these opaque doors and windows hide a paradise of softness and puts as good as those made houses, nothing writes, nothing precise, everything is in the opening and discussion. a proud owner of his origins who puts all the love of his country in his small dishes simmered back. Lamb tajine, pastilla, lemon chicken and olives and say crêpes with thousand holes, sanded, gazelle horns. an address I added to my notebook when I need the heat of the maroc in my plate.
I have been coming to this authentic restaurant since I moved to Montreal. They have kuskus every Friday. It's hard to miss. La harira is another story though. Best Morocan food so far.
The restaurant may not look like much from the outside or inside, but the father and son who run it are very friendly and the food is delicious. I would highly recommend it for a meal. The father spoke fluent French and the son preferred English. There is no menu as they offer a different meal each day. On the day I visited, I had a chicken breast with olives and potatoes. It was excellent. They gave me a choice of chicken breast or thighs. The food was so good that I would not have wanted to soak the fries in the chicken sauce, but it was still great. They also served a delicious bread with the meal. The Moroccan mint tea is a must-try if you like tea. For dessert, I tried a few items from their display case which included a honey and almond cookie and a unique, unforgettable pastry that I wish I could have more of. The bill came out to less than $20, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, this may have been the best meal I've had.
Please ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and verify the quality of the service. The menu prices are not available on the website. Most of the food seems to be stored in the refrigerator, so please check if it is clean. Also, check if they are preparing food with gloves. Moroccan food is delicious, but hygiene is important for customer satisfaction.
