Le Sushi Bar - Montpellier

I would like to point out that I've never ordered SUSHI items at this place because I just couldn't justify paying that kind of money for sushi in France (5-7 euros for 2 pieces of nigiri is ridiculously expensive when you see the proportions of fish to rice). I've always ordered their ramen and sides so my review is based on that. Their chashu used to be the best and their ramen was tasty and the takoyakis were always fresh and crispy, but that was a couple years ago. Over time, like many of the reviews here, I have seen the quality drop to a point that I am not going back. The last time I went in Feb 2020 was the last straw. The chashu was no longer chashu, it's not even marinated anymore (it's basically boiled ventrêche) and there was only 1 slice when the menu clearly indicates 2 slices. I also ordered a side of takoyaki, which was FROZEN in the middle. I didn't even bother telling them, I can see they don't care anymore. You've lost another long-time customer.

I have been in this restaurant since the start up 12/14 years ago, and this is a real drop in quality since the star. personal at entrance very nice and aimable, but it stop there! the quality that use to be the main brand of this place has been lost, no taste, very big sushi, that you can hardly put in mouse at once (when a sushi need to be small enough to have it in once piece in the mouth. table was missing half of the needs for a sushi. but despite the hight level price , the quality and taste is not there anymore. please chef, come back quick and make it best sushi in Montpellier as it use to be !!!

Not japanese food! it's french BOBO's japanese food

For a birthday, table of 6 separated. service really medium, misunderstanding, judgment and dry words, very good meal (I recommend the roots of lotus great discovery)! , but the prices are really not given! already come around the very good concept "swivel plates", we enjoy but high price, certainly good fish but rice still.

Very fresh fish, with a large choice of varied fish. the atmosphere is nice with the possibility to diner at the counter where you can choose the visu dishes.
