Hoosier House - MONTPELIER

This place is now called Karri's FYI. The place is rather plain and doesn't offer much that distinguishes them. However, they do a nice job for a place where your options are very limited. The dinning room is dated. The chairs are old but nicely padded. They have a strong tilt toward the table to the point that they are actually uncomfortable. The place was clean. The menu is diner type food. I selected the salad bar and soup. Chili was a nice touch on a cold day. It didn't have much spice or zing to it. Just was good though. The salad bar has a very limited number of toppings and dressing to choose from. There were a couple of pre made salads that were somewhat tasty. The staff went out of their way to make sure you were served in a way that would bring you back again. They did an excellent job!

Miss them greatly, but didn't keep regular hours. Also closed permanently with no warning or notice placed on sign or doors. Went one night in July for a fish sandwich, the restaurant was dark and locked up tight. They have not been open since.
