The restaurant exuded an upscale vibe, featuring a pleasant atmosphere, attentive servers, and soft lighting that added to the ambiance. I truly enjoyed my experience here. The food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. While the portion of broccoli seemed a bit small, it turned out to be just right alongside the other dishes I had. Additionally, my taste buds were delighted by the flavors of the grilled chicken breast with cream sauce, and the okra was well-seasoned as well. This restaurant is perfect for making a memorable first impression.

We had dinner at this restaurant after arriving at our destination in Alabama, and it was highly recommended by our Airbnb hosts, Jason and Teresa. We got there on a Friday evening and felt confident we had made a great choice when the hostess informed us that the wait would be 45 minutes. Let me tell you, it was definitely worth the wait. The food deserves a perfect 10/10, and the service was equally exceptional, also a 10/10. If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and make sure to eat here.

The head hostess stood out as truly exceptional—she was friendly and professional, which set a positive tone for our visit. While there were three hostesses, she was the only one who matched the restaurant's upscale vibe. We spent around $50 per person, which could have been much higher. As for the food, it was just average relative to the price. I ordered the chopped steak, which was completely unseasoned and served with plain white rice and gravy that lacked flavor. The asparagus, however, was cooked perfectly. Those who ordered the trout seemed to enjoy it, and I found my daughter's steak to be well-seasoned and tender when I tried a bite. I can't comment on the shrimp since it was ordered by someone else at our table. Service was another highlight; our server was friendly and upbeat, although he did correct my sister regarding an error with her meal. The rest of the staff, however, appeared a bit gloomy and disengaged, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the chocolate cake was outstanding. Overall, it’s one of the nicer restaurants I’ve visited in Montgomery, and Cloverdale definitely has a great atmosphere. If my meal had been better seasoned, I would have rated it four stars. A more cheerful staff could have boosted it to five stars. As it stands, I would give it three stars for a lovely celebration night with decent food and a somewhat lackluster vibe.

We ordered a steak that was cooked to perfection—tender in the middle with a nice crisp on the outside. The grilled prawns were delightful, especially paired with the side of butter. The salad was chopped finely, but it worked well with our appetizer. The crab claws were meaty and perfectly roasted. The fries were also excellent. The asparagus was straightforward but well-prepared. I would definitely recommend this place; it may be a bit pricey, but it's a lovely choice for a formal dinner.

As for the food, it was delicious. The fish—both the trout and the snapper—was cooked to perfection. The steaks were cooked to the ideal level, with a lovely warm pink center.
