Bernies - Montgomery Center

Bernie's Restaurant in Montgomery, VT is a quaint and friendly spot that's perfect for breakfast. The highlight is their special Alaskan homemade sourdough pancakes, which are complemented with in-season fruit—absolutely wow! The warm atmosphere and delightful service make it a must-visit.

This was the best breakfast I’ve ever had. “Farmers Egg Scramble”

Beware if you have food allergies. I went to bernie’s 7/14 and informed the server I had a tree nut allergy before I placed my order for a BLT. He replied that there was no nuts in the sandwich, so I informed him that cross contamination was a thing and he walked away as I was speaking. Halfway through my meal I began to have an allergic reaction (I assume that they did not use a clean knife to slice my sandwich in half). Food was good, just a shame that my life was put at risk because I was not taken seriously.

Cute small little restaurant, good atmosphere and pretty solid food. However, one of the people I was with ordered a BLT and mentioned that she had a nut allergy (to avoid any cross contamination) and the gentleman taking the order snarkily replied with Your BLT doesn 't come with nuts. Then, when we received the food, she ended up having her mouth go numb and had a small allergic reaction so I 'm assuming they used cross contaminated area or knife.

We went after swimming! A lil chilly but let me tell you Mexican Monday had no business being as good as it was absolutely a must go to if your in the area!
