La Plazita Market - Montevideo

This is the first Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to where they sell guacamole but they don’t carry chips! That’s right, no tortilla chips! They weren’t just out, they actually don’t carry them. Ever. This would be like a hamburger place not serving french fries. And speaking of hamburgers, they actually sell those! And sushi! But no tortilla chips. But the tacos were pretty good. So there’s that.

Sat at a table and waited for service for a good 15 minutes. Tried to order but the gal claimed that everything I wanted on the menu they didn’t have. Complete joke and a front for something else. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Machete listed at $8.50. Apparently when making their sign they forgot the 1 in front of the 8. It seemed like a curveball not to mention atmosphere needs some work. Seems dingy. Food was alright the shell needs to be cooked longer I don’t like squishy corn that’s 20” long Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Waited 20 minutes for overpriced tiny tacos. Maybe i got the wrong thing but way to expensive for what you get.
