Lala Cafe Con Libros - Montevideo

From the moment we walked in, there was a unique blend of a coffee shop atmosphere with the coziness of a typical Uruguayan home. The restaurant was small, with only six tables, yet it felt full and lively. We were treated to the incredible music of a Chilean band who had just finished touring Uruguay and Argentina. It seemed as though everyone in the restaurant that night was from a different country, giving the place a special and international vibe. The atmosphere was peaceful and inviting, making for a truly enjoyable experience.

At times, I felt like I was in a café, other times, like I was in the living room of any Uruguayan. There were only six tables in the whole place, and it was packed! We listened to an unplugged performance by a group of Chilean musicians who were traveling through Uruguay and Argentina playing music. It seemed like it was foreigners' night at Lalá, as everyone there came from different countries. It was calm and nice.
