Rio Grill - Monterey

Omg so tasty!! Had a soy-marinated steak and the meat was very tender! Highly recommend potato-skin as an appetizer , sooooo delicious.

Been going here for 20 years or more. And it’s consistently great. We always get the grilled artichoke and it’s always so delicious. The balsamic reduction and the dipping sauce is addicting. We love sitting in the bar and the drinks are good and strong. The staff are all super friendly and efficient.

This was one of the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in my entire life. We took my parents, aunt, and uncle who came in from Indiana to visit. We thought we’d try this out because it would be a new experience for all of us. However, really regret that choice at the moment. My daughter had a long blonde hair in her burger. I had the Salmon BLT but it had absolutely no flavor at all. My dad is a chef and tried it as well, it was the saddest salmon we’ve ever had. The waiter came to our table twice and that was after he had gone MIA and the manager had to get after him to come back and refill drinks. The dishes that were good were the pork chop and the chicken. My uncle had the sea bass and said it was good (flavor wise) but a little dry. The calamari appetizer was the best thing we all had on the menu. Highly recommend that, however, overall, I’d recommend passing this restaurant up.

Very good service, excellent southwest seafood stew (tasty and well cooked), ok prices, adequate parking.

Came here for dinner and it did not disappoint. They were very accommodating with the fact we were a half hour early and they still sat us right away. Food was amazing and service was a great compliment.
