Monterey's Fish House

Delicious food!! Staff is very friendly and works together as a great team, did not need to ask for anything they were always on point. Located in a converted older home, it fills up quickly but we never felt rushed. Reservation's strongly recommended and even then you may experience a wait. Tables are fairly close together in this casual atmosphere. A favorite when we visit the Monterey area.

This place was highly recommended by family members and it was not a disappointment. From the moment we stepped in the door we felt the complete focus on the patron. Most impressed with the menu, specials of the day and the effort made to adapt to individual’s preferences. Carlos was exemplary in his attention to every detail..very personable as well (as were all the staff). Food was excellent! It was a wonderful experience. Our kudos to all concerned. This place was fantastic, can not recommend it enough. The serving staff was excellent and knowledgeable, the fish was fantastic and fresh, and the atmosphere takes it to the next level for me. I really like this cozy place! Such a lovely night! Oysters on the Half Shell: fresh and big, wants to try grilled one next time Cioppino: very delicious, Italian taste but also custom to my Chinese stomach Crab pasta: a big one, delicious as well!

It was pretty casual. Got a nice corner area. Its kind of looks like a mom and pops kind of style. The tables were clean and service was good! Servers checked in often. We walked in on a weekday You get free bread with your food. We ordered the Octopus, Clam Pasta and large Calamari steak. The noodles in the pasta tasted fresh. The octopus appetizer was ok, the burnt taste was just too strong. The calamari steak was a decent size but presentation could of been better Somethings are worth the price, the baby octopus appetizer was not. Nothing crazy great but decent. Private lot in the back
