Louie Linguini's - Monterey

Food was good but not special. Service was a bit slow , but that may have been due to lack of staff. Views were great and the seals entertained us.

For the main course, I had the spaghetti and meatballs, which were divine! They surpassed even my mom’s meatballs, which is the benchmark I always reference. It's rare for me to find a meatball that can compete with my mother’s, but they actually exceeded her’s—sorry, Mom! I also loved the spaghetti sauce, especially how the pasta was beautifully plated in a large, tossed ball, rather than just plain pasta topped with sauce. My husband also enjoyed his sausage arrabiatta. The only downside was the service; the staff didn’t check on us often, left our empty appetizer plates on the table until dinner, and didn’t refill our water. However, the incredible food and beautiful atmosphere made it easy to overlook these lapses. Plus, the prices were very reasonable!

Food is really good. I’ve been gone for the past 67 years and I only get shrimp Aurora, my favorite dish but everything on the menu is fire.

Service was very fast. Food was good. Ordered the fried combo to share and a few apps. Drinks and food came quickly.

I ordered their Ribeye steak and Prawns medium rare. When the entree arrived, it was obvious that the steak was over cooked. However, the prawns cooked in a garlic butter sauce looked very good along with the mixed vegetables (carrots, squash, and zucchini, and broccoli. The mashed potatoes also looked great. I asked for them to remake the steak medium rare. When the second steak came it also well done and the cut was 20 percent or more of cartilage fat. The vegetables were all broccoli and the potato’s were cold. I sent the food back and left the restaurant and ate dinner elsewhere. For $60.00 I expect a perfect steak cooked to my liking. Will never eat at this restaurant again when visiting my vacation home in Monterey.
