High's - Monterey

This restaurant is a gem nestled in the picturesque Highland County, Virginia. I've dined here several times during my trips to the Spruce Knob area, with my most recent visit last October. The food is outstanding and the service is top-notch, even when the staff is a bit short-handed—Katrina did a fantastic job during my last visit. However, the highlight for me is definitely the ice cream, especially the cookie sundae. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in this beautiful part of the country. Don't forget to ring the bell on your way out! As for parking, it's street parking, but given that you're in the remote Mid-Atlantic, finding a spot is never an issue.
