The Shack - Monterey

Has a nice mood and some good indoor and covered outdoor areas. Also has a sweet little garden from the back. Some well-marked vegan options on the menu. We had the eggs I think they are the package of vegan eggs? Not bad, but maybe a little wet. Not quite vegan menu, but available as vegan options that they were, and marked clear. Cosy interior and exterior seats. They also sell fresh products and other durable products. You have a small herbal garden that you can go through the back. Very friendly staff, the kitchen opened 15 minutes early for us. Ordering vegan Shakshuka and vegan eggs with 2 coffees. Also ordered a vegan brownie. All were delicious! Would definitely recommend.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with nice indoor and covered outdoor seating areas. There is also a charming little garden in the back. The menu includes some clearly marked vegan options. We tried the eggs, which I believe were vegan eggs from a packet. They were okay, but a bit moist. It would be nice to have the option to add some Susy Spoons bacon for additional flavor. Just a heads up, there are chickens kept in the back garden, as mentioned in a previous review from February 25, 2022.
