J&s American& Mexican - Montebello

The food was surprisingly disappointing and definitely not worth the $43 I spent, especially with an additional $2 fee for using their ATM since they only accept cash. The breakfast burrito was lacking, the burger was okay, and the chili made me wish I had gone to Wienerschnitzel instead. Overall, it was very mediocre, and I can't recommend this place unless you have no other options. To top it off, they tacked on an extra $4 charge for the double bacon cheeseburger, which seems ridiculous—why should I have to pay more for bacon on a bacon cheeseburger?

The food was fantastic! However, I’m giving only one star because of a rude older woman at the register. There was a homeless man who had purchased a burrito and was eating there when he asked her for a cup of water. Instead of helping him, she shouted at him to leave. It was a hot summer night, and it was disheartening to see her refuse to offer even a simple cup of water to someone who had already bought food. It was a very unkind display, especially considering we don’t know the struggles he’s faced that led him to this situation. I couldn’t just stand by, so I got him a large ice water and gave him $20. He was incredibly grateful—a genuinely nice guy caught in unfortunate circumstances.

Breakfast burritos are consistently fantastic! I've been coming here for over 40 years, and it remains our family's go-to spot for late-night and early afternoon meals after a night out!

I love J S been coming here since I was a kid service is quick and easy not a fancy place just late night munchies! Taquitos with cheese and guacamole and the breakfast burrito the beans in it are fire !!! Do t forget to get the pico de Gallo!

They use 2B really good but now they are putting beans in there breakfast burritos and very little meat beans belong on the side what's next rice are we in northern CA
