The pasta was ok but a very small portion. The pizza dough was thick and overall not what we were hoping for. Overall I think the prices are too high for what you get.
We came there for lunch and opted to sit on their back patio as the sun was shining. Although quiet the restaurant looked like an authentic Italian with a classic atmosphere. Although we were provided with tap water, the glasses had many small hairs inside, suggesting they 'd been lying around for a while before any customers used them. The cutlery was similarly unclean, with specs of the previous meal left on them. We all ordered pizza, though the prices were shockingly high. Slightly higher prices in Carmel can be tolerated but $27 for a Margherita is unacceptable. The pizza did taste very nice at least. When it came to the bill, adding a 3% charge for use of credit card feels primitive, and writing 'the customer is not always right ' on the bottom of the menu with regards to payment is never a good idea. Although I enjoyed the experience at Enzo, their lack of attention to detail let them down, and I fear that their prices are so high that they are discouraging customers from dining, and are actually losing business as a result. I cannot give it 4 stars for these reasons above.
Absolutely amazing authentic Italian food. A must in Carmel.
The food was good, but I certainly wasn't floored by it. The service was great and the staff was very friendly and pleasant. It did throw me off a bit to see on the menu that they would rather customers not modify their orders. I rarely do, but to see it posted like that was weird. If you like your pasta with the garnish left off or some other mod, you may want to consider that when booking.
