Rio Cafe Grill - MONTE RIO

This is a lively local spot. I must admit that what really attracted me was my craving for jalapeño poppers, and I was not disappointed with my order here—they were delicious! I also tried the Korean gochujang rice bowl. If you were expecting authentic Korean cuisine, it might not meet your expectations. However, it was enjoyable in a nostalgic, small-town American home-cooked meal kind of way. It had a good flavor on its own, but it wouldn’t be mistaken for true Korean food. The service was friendly, and they have a wide selection of ice cream. Just a heads up—they don’t have their liquor license yet.

I had a great experience at the restaurant, thanks to the attentive service and friendly staff. I ordered mac and cheese with bacon, along with a Caesar salad, both of which were delicious. The place was quite busy due to the heat wave, and the ice cream bar at the back was bustling with activity! They also have a charming Jukebox, which added to the atmosphere. I enjoyed listening to some Waylon Jennings and other classic tunes while I dined!

Absolutely delicious! We ordered the teriyaki bowl and the chili cheese dog, and they were amazing. This is a wonderful place. We also tried the ice cream and I highly recommend the strawberry flavor. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5!

This restaurant was fantastic, and the customer service was excellent! I tried the Bang Bang chicken sandwich, and the flavors were spot on! We'll definitely return the next time we're in town.

I would give this restaurant 3 stars for the average food, but only 0 or 1 star for the service. We sat down at an outdoor table, and when one person went inside, a staff member told them to wait outside for menus and water. We waited 20 minutes for water and then were finally asked for our order. Thankfully, we checked their website for the menu. We placed our order, but then had to wait a full 70 minutes before we received any food or even saw another staff member. When the food eventually arrived, it was decent. The burgers were alright, the fries were acceptable, and the chicken wrap was somewhat better than what you’d find at a fast food restaurant.
