La Grotta Del Pescatore

We were gathering Porto Ercole to find a place where to eat in a Saturday evening and we crashed into this beautiful street set-up like a Greek alley; we reserved a table outside. The host is a one man show, he do everything even if he has employees, that’s why the service was VERY slow and confusing. By the way the food was simple coocked and nice, and the prices were quite good. I would come back for the location without expectation on the menu.

Good locations, portions are unnecessary big but the quality is below average considering its a seaside restaurant! The worst “spaghetti alle vongole” I ever had. I left 2/3 of it! Very salty , bad quality pasta cooked without care. The Waitress was lovely so we left a tip for her but the overall experience was bad. We were asked to eat in their indoor space although we would have liked to eat outdoor like anyone else. I still have to understand why? They moved a table outside for another couple that arrived after us. We were too tired to ask after a day travelling! Won’t recommend it. It is NOT a good example of good Italian seafood and fish restaurant. It’s a tourist trap!

Resturant looks good, nice view! HOWEVER it has THE WORST SERVICE IN ITALY! They brought the food out at different times! Forgot to place our order with the kitchen! Pasta was under cooked! Told us the bread was free and still charged us for it! The management ended the night by yelling and screaming at us for bringing up these issues. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMENED AVIODING THIS RESTURANT!! DO NOT GO! The picture shows the fish they served five minutes ago and still no food for three other people! Really bad serving!

Oversized portions and poor fish quality. The Location was cute so we gave it a chance despite bad reviews. Not recommended.

Bad organization. We waited over 1 hour for the food. Finally they brought our fish. When we finished they brought the pasta for our soon. Food was average.
