El Merendero - MONTE ARGENTARIO

We arrive late in Port Ercole with our 6yo. This place was lively. You order at the counter and grab a free table. The staff were immediately very friendly speaking great English and making us feel very welcome. Especially nice to kids. Great range of pizza that was cooked fresh and very quickly. Good range of drinks also. I had the diavola and family a margarita. Meal for 3 was €30 with water beer and soft drink. Cash only btw. Highly recommend if you want to eat quickly or fancy a really good pizza.

Absolutely incredible pizza! Per my children ‘the best pizza we have ever had’! And I’m inclined to agree with them! A huge menu of just about every possible pizza topping combination you can imagine all cooked to order and fresh. We ate ours on a little table outside and enjoyed a refreshing drink whilst we waited but it was very busy with takeaways as well! Clearly hugely popular and we can see why exceptional pizza and incredibly reasonably priced! We’ll be back!

Owned and named by a Spaniard living in the town this is definitely one of the best pizza houses in the world !. Ate here several times as the pizza 's are so varied, thin and delicious they were hard to resist after a big days sailing. Each is obviously made to order and the menu contains maybe 50 tomato based pizzas and 50 'White ' whatever that means. Seating a bit limited, much of the business is takeaway, but they very friendly and helpful if you do want to sit down. Located right in the centre of the town it is handy wherever you are staying.

Food was really good and the owner Maximo was a lot of fun to talk to. Some food is already made and lots of variety. Pizzas are done in 5-10 minutes
