Contribuiți la feedbackSuper positively surprised by a walk through the outlet street in Montabaur. As from nothing suddenly a huge La Place branch appeared in front of our eyes. How horny is that? La Place, our favorite B-restaurant from the Netherlands in the middle of Germany?! Of course we didn't let it eat a bit. I've known La Place from Holland for many years. The restaurant was represented in almost every big city. Most shops were located in the Vroom Dressman department stores, some restaurants are located in pedestrian areas, others at rest places or parking spaces. V D was the largest storage chain in the Netherlands and comparable to our Karstadt houses. Unfortunately, they had to register the insolvency at the end of last year and, as far as I know, correct me, now all locations are closed. La Place is a V D subsidiary and therefore unfortunately also insolvent. According to my knowledge, the branches outside the V D houses remain at least first preserved. This message really threw me back, La Place was always part of the absolute mandatory program in Holland. Why? It's easy to write freshness at La Place. The offer is not so huge. There are sandwiches and baguettes, moreover mostly four, five different dishes, different pizzas, plus sweet things like cakes or cakes. The Klou is the fresh preparation of the dishes. In Holland I have already ordered burgers, asparagus or steaks. Everything is freshly prepared in the eyes. Pizza dough is also re-rolled for each guest and covered with fresh ingredients. This naturally takes all its time and also inexpensive it is certainly not everyone's thing. I've been worth every cent so far. In Montabaur we were surprised. In the restaurant we felt transferred to Holland. Same presentation, the same design, the same preparation stations and the best, the same food offerings. The only difference was the number of customers. In the Netherlands we were lucky to get a place, but in Montabaur there was a huge void. Anyway, we had breakfast first, but it should be at least a covered baguette and a fresh mint tea. I knew it could only be a full-grain bag with the delicious fresh cheese. My accompaniment chose the same bread, but with cooking ham. At checkout we found that the baguette is even twenty cents more expensive than in our neighboring country, the honey for tea costs even fifty cents extra. There's always been in Holland. You were on vacation and should enjoy something. The quality of bread was perfect and absolutely comparable. The only manko was the color. For 4.15€ it should have been a little more cheese. The Baguettes convinced us completely, so we slept there a few days later and consumed them. Even during the last visit there was no criticism. I really hope that this and the last restaurants will stay in Holland. Besides, people should finally be ready to spend some more money for good food. Geiz is horny, but not eating.
