Golden Palace - Monroeville

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is consistently hot and fresh. We frequently get takeout since my family lives close by, and everyone enjoys it for a quick dinner that doesn’t require any cooking, ha! You can customize your order by adjusting the spices or vegetables to your liking; just ask. The portion sizes are also incredibly generous. We always have enough leftovers for another night or two!

Delicious food! This is the first restaurant in the area where I've actually received the heat I requested in my Kung Pao chicken. It could have been a bit spicier, but it was definitely more flavorful than most!

Please be aware that the prices currently charged are significantly higher than those listed on the printed menus at the counter. The owner explained that the menus are actually two years old, predating the pandemic. I was taken aback by the price when it was time to pay for my order. The food was very nice, but buyers should be cautious.

I ordered General Tso's chicken with roasted rice and a chicken egg roll it was pretty good you also a lot of General Tso's chicken and sauce. I like to mix my rice in the general Tso sauce, they do not supplement broccoli with the general Tso chicken or a vegetables in rice and my chicken egg roll was not crispy, but it was still good, overall I will return when I am in this area. Staff were nice and professional.

Everything about this place is perfect. Steamed pork dumplings were on point, chicken lo mein and I don't care it was perfect. Your average Boring Americans go to General Tso was also good. This is definitely my go-to when I'm in the area of my house which I'm there quite often, so you know it's my house.
