La Rosa Chicken - Monroe

I was in the mood for creamed spinach, and since this place had it, I thought I'd give it a try. The dish was a bit salty, but overall quite good. The mac and cheese was excellent, and I enjoyed the mini cornbread muffins. However, I had issues with the chicken and ribs. The batter on the chicken wasn't crispy enough, and I wasn't a fan of the seasoning. On the plus side, the chicken quality was solid, and there weren't any large clumps of excess batter. The ribs were very average—nothing special, really, just like what you'd find at any chain restaurant. Plus, they were definitely overpriced. Overall, I would say the experience was pretty underwhelming.

Best place to get food when in a rush. Their customer service is speedy, prices are reasonable, great character. I highly recommend this place

We really appreciate the healthy choices they offer. Their grilled chicken platter is fantastic, and the cream of spinach, broccoli, and red-skinned potatoes are simply delicious! We've also tried the ribs, and they are amazing as well. I truly hope they reopen soon!

By 8:39, we received our food in a bag and two to-go containers. I asked if we could eat there quickly, and the person I assumed was the manager simply looked at us, shook his head, and began flipping chairs onto tables to indicate they were closing. They are supposed to close at 9, not 8:40. The service was unacceptable, and I doubt we will return. Did they really think it would take us an hour to eat two pieces of chicken and a side? It’s disappointing that they treat regular customers like this. If they intend to close early, they should update their hours of operation.
