China Star - Monona

I was really impressed with the portion sizes and value for money at this Chinese restaurant. We ordered two entrees with rice, and the To-Go bag was quite heavy—all for just twenty dollars! We tried the hot and sour soup and the moo goo gai pan, both of which were excellent. There was enough food for a hearty dinner, plus leftovers for lunch the next day. The person who took my order over the phone spoke English very well and was a pleasure to talk to. The pick-up window also follows all Covid-19 precautions. Overall, it’s a fantastic place!

The service was faster than expected. The egg rolls were delicious, especially when dipped in sweet and sour sauce. We ordered sweet and sour chicken alongside chicken fried rice. However, the chicken lacked the sweetness we anticipated; we are used to a sweeter flavor profile in chicken dishes, but this place didn't offer that.
