Stunning food with elegant service,and beautifully designed plates made for a terrific meal for only $151 for two. We started with an onion Soup, which had clean deep flavor with little bread,little butter and deep onion caramelized flavor. The other plate was smoked salmon which...was a pave of salmon and was light, moist and delicious. Perhaps the best I've ever had. The poached trout was delicious, with great side and sauce. The other plate was scallops with foam and were elegant and beautiful. We had cheese and dessert and with the wine had a great meal. Truly very very good. It was a special treat and much better than the price.

We were there for lunch for two. We chose the lunch menu of the day, with a choice of meat (faux filet) and fish we had one each. Everything was very good with the exception of the meat which was rather tasteless and a...bit tough. A pity, since everything else, including the service said excellent . The entrées (poached eggs on a bed of leek salad), the dessert (chocolate and red fruit charlotte), the cheese selection and the wine selection (local wines with two glasses included in the menu I chose a red and a white) were all very good. The waiter was very pleasant and efficient, although briefly put out when we mentioned that we had not liked the meat. He recovered nicely though. The ambiance in the restaurant is a little sombre muted clearly done with taste, but not ours! The food was well priced and the portion sizes were also appropriate for lunch we left satisfied without being over full. Un déjeuner pour deux. Nous avons pris le menu déjeuner Cuisine du jour avec viande (faux filet) et poisson. Les entrées (oeufs pochés, dessert (charlotte), et sélection de fromages, ainsi que le choix du vin (deux verres compris dans le menu) étaient tous très bons. Nous étions un peu déçu avec la viande qui n 'avait pas beaucoup de gout et pas tendre. Pour finir un très bon café et des petits fours. Service souriante et impeccable, l 'ambiance dans la salle un tout petit peu triste. Un agréable déjeuner qui aurait était peut être mieux si nous avions tous les deux pris le poisson ce jour là.

Starter: perfect lobster with tomato water! perfect 2nd starter: grilled lobster. and as main calves and wild mushrooms. a very nice dinner with a great local wine. the dessert was also a joy.

That loved eating, service was great. we had the 4 course menu, too much to eat for us, but top quality. is coming back.

We had lammed and found it to be a touch “fat”. other foods, including dessert, was only average. it was hard to imagine why there are so many five star ratings.
