La Grignotiere - Monfort

This busy restaurant serves mainly the local French families so it must be good ! A lively atmosphere and positioned in the square of the village so parking is close by .

Home from Home, run by a lovely family group, at the moment doing some upgrading they have done extensive works in the last few years, the lower (large dining room has steps down in to it so no good for wheelchairs,but plenty of room to eat in top area in the summer outside plenty of room friday is good for fish

There is always a warm welcome here. I am not sure how they manage to provide a four course meal for 15 euros (less at lunchtime), but they do. There is a wide choice of dishes, but the plat du jour is usually very acceptable. The standard of cuisine is consistently good. There is wine by the pichet, which makes for a very cheap evening out.

My family live nearby and we regularly visit for lunch. This is a reliable restaurant. The menu du jour is excellent with soup, salad, plat du jour and desert plus wine for a very reasonable price. It can get very busy and service gets difficult but the quality cannot be faulted. We will need back.

Super family and friendly restaurant. Great reception by cecile and christian. If you want to taste a gersian terroir cuisine in the middle of the beautiful village of monfort, you are in the right place!
