Contribuiți la feedbackDuo Cafe is a lovely little café located on the main street. It is operated by the same owners as Tide and Boar. I adored the rustic modern decor, including the brick wall and interesting artwork. The window display with plants and cacti was also a nice touch. The two servers were very friendly and helpful. When I inquired about vegan options, one of the servers informed me that the soups were 100% vegan and that the Curry Mango Jackfruit was vegan as well, but the bungalow was not. This confused me as their board indicated it was vegan. I asked for clarification, but was simply told not to order it. I ended up just getting two soy-chai lattes (one with coffee, one without). The lattes were okay, but not as flavorful or strong as others I've had. I expressed my concerns on a local vegan Facebook group, and someone reached out to Duo Cafe, who then assured me that the bungalows were indeed vegan. It seems they may need additional training for their staff to ensure they understand what is vegan. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I'm not sure if I'll return to Duo Cafe. It's important for them to clarify their menu and train their staff properly.
This restaurant is a fantastic place to enjoy a sandwich, and they occasionally offer vegan soup. They have a different menu every day, so be sure to check their Facebook page for updates. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious.
Duo Cafe is a delightful little café located on the main street, owned by the same people as Tide and Boar. The café has a charming rustic modern look with a brick wall and interesting works of art, including window art with plants and cacti. The staff, two girls, were friendly and helpful. I inquired about vegan options and was informed that the soups were 100% vegan, while the Curry Mango Jackfruit was also vegan but the bungalow was not, despite being listed as vegan on the menu. This caused confusion and frustration. I ended up ordering two soy chai lattes, one with coffee and one without. The latte was tasty, although it was a bit watery compared to others I have had. After expressing my concerns on a local vegan group on Facebook, it was clarified by another patron that the bungalows were indeed vegan. It seems that the staff may need more training on vegan options. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I am unsure if I will return to Duo Cafe. It is important for the staff to understand and accurately communicate what is vegan on the menu.
GREAT spot for a sandwich (and sometimes they have a vegan suppe) daily function so check their facebook for the tag menu.
Duo cafe is a charming little cafe in the main street. it is connected and heard by the same people as tide and boar. I love the rustic modern look with the brick wall and interesting artworks. I also love their window art with plants and cacti. the two girls were very sweet and what I thought was helpful. I asked what was vegan and she told me the soups I 100% vegan but the curry mango jackfruit was vegan, but the bungalow was not what really confused me since it was on her board said feat. vegan, so I asked her why it would be vegan under introduced if the bungalow did not. she didn't even react that I started, I always tell them that they shouldn't. I just ordered two soy-chai-lattes (one with coffee, the other without.) the latte itself was not very tasteful, the barista told me to bring them back if it was not sweet enough. I still found that. also it was quite watery against others I had. when I went, I wrote on the local vegan group on facebook with my mind. a man was really upset, so he wrote duo cafe, where they ensured that the bungalows were actually vegan. I guess my main thing is now, they need a training through the sounds of it. Unfortunately, I can't say I'll ever go back from my experience. they must make sure that the personal understands what is vegan.
