Red Satay Grill - Moncton

We received a very good service in French. Many considerations for my food and those of my children. My carnivorous husband was also an accomplice. We will certainly return! Miam!

I heard about Red Satay from some of my family members and was told that they have some vegan items, so when Calactus was sadly closed, we decided to go here. The atmosphere is beautiful and warm and I like the decor. The waitress we had was very sweet and helpful. I asked for vegan options and although Happy Cow claims there is a vegan menu that is not really true. Most articles also on the herbal menu page are not naturally vegan, they use a lot of fish sauce and deep freeze the tofu in the same oil as meat. The waitress was in front and great. We asked if the tofu could be picked instead of fried deep, and she asked about us and it wasn't a problem, but I beat very vegan TECHNICAL as such. The food was fast and plentiful. The food was very good and I enjoyed it. I definitely recommend the Red Satay for vegans and non-vegans alike. Moncton does not seem to offer as much as vegan cuisine, so this is a good option.

Unlike the previous review, my family and I have a vegan lunch here. All sauces were vegan after our waitress. Food was tasteful and service was excellent.

They serve their VEGETARIAN spring rolls, which are under the VEGAN part of the menu, with FISH sauce. Even after I had asked if everything I wanted to eat was VEGAN and yes was said, of course I was served fish sauce. I wrote to the restaurant and told them that this was extremely misleading and all they told me was that if someone wanted another sauce, they demanded it. This fish sauce is served automatically. Although on the menu that is not clarified, and my server has not informed me. I'm just wondering what they wouldn't tell me. (After my email, they changed their 'vegan section' to a 'vegetable selection'.

The authentic Pho Beef is delicious and the portions are huge. We were lucky to discover that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, but we were able to try it because we were staying until Wednesday.
