Contribuiți la feedbackWe last visited this quaint restaurant for lunch two years ago. Not much has changed, although we noticed that the entire shopping street was quieter compared to our last visit. We ordered the sashimi and sushi platter, as well as the special salmon sushi with a side of hot green tea. We only had to wait 10 minutes before our meal arrived. Both dishes were freshly made and absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a perfect spot for a light lunch.
My wife remembered this charming restaurant from a few years ago, so we decided to stop by for a quick lunch. Not much had changed since the previous Japanese owners, with pictures of the menu and prices displayed on the wall of the open kitchen. There were 2 tables for 2 people and five additional tables in the second room, totaling 14. Despite the lunch rush, there was minimal cooking smells and foot traffic in the second room. We ordered the tempura udon, chicken donburi, and hot green tea, which all arrived within 10 minutes. Both dishes were fresh, tasty, and satisfyingly portioned. The prices were reasonable for this type of restaurant. There was a steady flow of customers coming in to pick up takeout orders, and a couple with two small children at the next table were enjoying their meal.
It was a hot night and I was late getting home, so I decided to pop into this cozy restaurant for dinner. I hadn't been here in years, but not much had changed in terms of decor. However, the owners and menu had. Our takeout order was prepared quickly and was carefully packed. Once we got home, we dug into the boxes and enjoyed the four tasty meals we had ordered. They were flavorful, not too heavy, and a good value for the price. Overall, it was a convenient dinner option. The restaurant has a utilitarian feel and is not particularly welcoming, but the food is good, though not exceptional.
My wife remembered this little restaurant and take away place well from a couple of years ago. As we were in the area, we decided to have a quick lunch. Not much had changed other than the previous Japanese owners to new. Photos of menu and prices displayed on the wall of the open kitchen side of the restaurant. 2 tables for 2 there, and five more tables sitting total of 14 in the second room. Less cooking smell and people traffic in that room.As it was lunch, we only ordered main meals. We had the tempura udon and the Katzu chicken don and hot green tea. All arrived within 10 minutes. Both meals were fresh, tasty, and light (bowl of udon) to adequate in size. Value was quite Ok for this type of restaurant food. There was a slow, but steady stream of people ordering take away. The couple and two small children on the next table were ordering and enjoying their six or eight dishes during our short stay.
Hottter than hell evening, late home, what to do for dinner.Dropped into this small shop to try the meals. I had not been here for several years. The decor hadn't changed, tired, but the owners and meals had.Our takeaway meals came back in good time and the contents were meticulously placed. At home we broke open the boxes and devoured the 4 meals ordered. They were tasty not stodgy, a good quantity and good value. Makes a good fall back for dinner. You can eat in but its not really that inviting, your typical sparse utilitarian fit out. Good but not great.
