Fontanabuona - MOMBERCELLI

The othe evening I had the privilege to take dinner at Fontanabuona as I have a b&b in the close vicinity I often send guests and receive outstanding reviews of their experience. I certainly was not disappointed unfortunately I am a little difficult as I do suffer from a bad gluten intolerance but I had plenty of choices and was impressed to note that the Italian sweet menu listed gluten free. The setting is beautiful, the decoration very tasteful , the staff courteous and attentive. Great detail was given to all plates served and all were delicious especially the sauce on the guinea foul which was divine.. there was also a good varied wine list of local quality wines.. we chose the Nobbio Barbera from Roberto ferraris which complimented the meal perfectly. A special evening out for us and I will definitely continue to recommend it to all my guests.

Always a pleasure to return to Fontana Buona, a typical piomontese food, family owned, they treat you like family. Lovely!

We dined at this restaurant with some friends. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The food was well prepared and nicley arranged on the plate and of very good quality. The wine list was adequate and reasonably priced. I think the food was a bit expensive but still a good value for money. The one minus for me ,dining on the veranda , was the noise level. It was crowded and difficult to speak normally. You might want to practice you knowledge of italian a bit before trying this out, but could also be fun without it as the staff would be quite helpful. This restaurant is surely worth a try.

Very large local, Piedmont cuisine with possibility of fixed menus with dishes of choice or à la carte, abundant portions! Good wine. excellent price quality. friendly staff
