El Fontanal - Molinos

El Fontanals is a bar located in the center of the little town called Molinos, in Teruel Region, near the border with Castelló, in Maestrazgo. We came here to eat two montaditos, and they were very good. it is a typical bar of the town, where all adults come to enjoy during evenings. Very nice. very authentic.

We were visiting the nearby Cuevas de Cristal (Crystal Caves) and the guide, a native of the village, recommended visiting it to see the waterfall. We found this bar restaurant close by with an outside terrace and found a menu with plenty of variety. There is no terrace service, so you have to go into the small bar to order and may have to move your table of some large vehicle gets stuck in the narrow streets (quite a spectacle). However, in all other senses this is a good place to eat. It seems to be a family operation everyone in the family cooks, serves, or attends the bar! The food is good, wholesome home cooking. A huge salad, plate of lamb chops with asparagus and a massive slate covered in squid rings in batter plus water and then coffee set us back just 28 Euros and was good eating for three. It was plenty of food for the three and enjoyed out in the fresh air with the sound of water tinkling from the stream just down the street. We had a good, relaxed meal. Service was quick and friendly and the food good. It 's not gourmet cooking, but you don 't expect it in a tiny, scenic village like this. Price to quality was really excellent.

Raciones riquísimas. Comimos el revuelto con foie y la ensalada de rulo. Un acierto las dos cosas. Repetiremos. Muy atentos en todo momento.
