Waiters who don't hide their obsession are terrible. We were surprised that for the little snacks that in Italy cost drinks, we had a bill, and they were worth a lot of money on the city fleet, where there were no tourists at all. Besides, you have to pay for the use of the tables! When my boyfriend decided to make a comment, the staff response was shocking. It was a pretty rough and aggressive infiltration. It's almost in the fight. Our day was ruined.
Please keep them clear. I ordered three prosecco and 1 aperitif set of accompanying food, which are normally included in the drink price and I calculated 28.50 eur, double normal price. When I asked for clarification, I got personal misunderstandings and threats for me and my friend. an absolutely disgusting service experience. s’il vous plaît éviter de vous arêter ici, moi and ma copine ont été chargés pour des plats qui ont pas commandé et enfin on été insultés et presque agressés. Dégoûtant!
If they were ever in molfetta during la festa della madonna dei martiri, they will know how full it will be, and how difficult it can be to find a good restaurant, especially on a Saturday evening. the suggested restaurants we checked were fully booked, so it was...a pleasant surprise for us to find this place, a quiet, unadulterated cursed behind the whole chaos on corso dante. we were determined to find somewhere that served pasta, which most bars did not, so we were very pleased to find this caffe, served orchidee with salsiccia and what we thought was cime di rapa. Although the menu was strongly reliant on more casual food like panini, it was a small selection of appetizers and primi piatti. we decided to have bruschetta with stracciatella and pomodoro, along with a misto mare, and then the orchideee. we finished the meal with some pasticiotti filled with pasticcera crema and cherry marble, typical we were told by lecce. we accompanied all this with a pleasant bottle of local fiano. this caffe is quite casual, but this does not detract from the food, or even from the service. admittedly, they were not very busy when we were there last night, but we had a great service, especially from a young man who was very passionate about pugliese cuisine and wein. and at less than 50 € for both of us we thought it was quite good worth it.
After I lived in italy almost every year and visited puglia, I must say that this is not a place that serves typical eating. from any reason, the spaghetti had all of the bygole pesto sauce in it that defeated the purpose of the bygole. over, the...pasta was overwhelmed (if that ever happened in italy the hard fish was overwhelmed and extremely salty. the desserts were underwhelming. Together, no pleasant experience.
We stayed upstairs in the b&b on our first night in Puglia. We looked around Molfetta to choose a restaurant and decided to go back to this place as they did pizzas and seafood as some places didn't do pizzas which the kids wanted. The...waiter had no English so it was amusing going through the menu. We ordered the linguine di mare and I have to say it was one of the best I ever tasted. The kids enjoyed their pizzas too. I was tempted to try their set menu of fish but definitely will next time.
