One remained for nearly half an hour. I think it was the boss that approached us without an menu and I called out can we have a menu please. It came quickly and we decided on the KRISTEN BRATEN WITH Sauerkraut with Speck und Semmelknoedeln. It kindly had an English translation, Roat Pork with Crackling, cole slaw and dumplings. Well I asked the waiter where is the cole slow which is a cold cabbage salad with either vinegar or mayonnaise and where is the crackling and I was told I was to read theAus Austrian version, I told him I am British I am bio lingual) it is actual pickled. Absage with bacon served hot and the crackling was jst fat and not crispy but the food was excellent. We had a problem not to feed the many flys that descended on us. When the waiter took away the plates I told him, he made out that he did not understand and I repeated it and he just shrugged his shoulders. I agree he was busy with the coach loads and we waited quite a while for our bill.
We got there early which was good because the garden filled up quickly. Service was quick but the waiter had an attitude. He acted like we should be thankful he was waiting on us. Food was good, wine was not. Restroom was clean. Prices reasonable.
