La Morenita - Modesto

I took my dad here after a doctors appointment The garlic shrimp appetizer was delicious. Their chips and salsa was good. I ordered a taco combo plate. I was not impressed with the taco. Taco meat which was asada tasted old. The rice and beans were ok. In the end, the main attraction was just ok. For being the original La Morenita's, I expected a little more wow factor.

Don't like this restaurant at all, I've had a lot of Mexican food growing up (I'm hispanic) and this place is definitely bad. they're one of the only mexican food restaurants in the area which probably explains why they're still open. I also had a bad experience with the service, I ordered my food then went back and added a drink and it came out to 5$ just for a cup to get soda from the fountain. Terrible prices here.

I've always ordered the wedding burrito it's been a while since we've eaten here and today I realized why. They changed the sauce on it and it's just not the same. Won't come back!

Walked in after not going here for awhile and only saw a few people inside. This place used to be packed. Ordered food to go and tried to explain to them several times my order. They couldn't understand me I guess. Went over my order again when i was paying and they didn't listen to my order just made it the way they always make it. So I had to call and go back over. They said oops gave me the wrong order. No they didn't the tacos they had waiting for me were still not the way I asked for them. So again I had to wait for them to make it again. I get home 2 minutes later and the food is cold. So I guess I will go back to El Rosal from now on.

So good 10 out of 10 defnentally recommend. The staff are super fast, always smiling and always kept our cups filled. It's so packed every time we go because of how good it is! by the way the wedding sauce in the wedding chicken burrito is bommm and the restaurant is always clean and the mood is always good, nobody is ever rude either! you have to try this place ASAP!!! P.S they decorate the restaurant so nice.
