Farmer Boys - Modesto

The fish platter was quite good. Although the portion of fries was a bit small, I was pleased with the meal overall. It was tasty, and the price was fair. However, I did encounter some difficulties with the menu. While browsing, I noticed that the 4-piece fish platter seemed to come with a side salad. When I placed my order, I couldn't find a way to select the salad, so I figured it must have been an optional addition. To my surprise, the meal did include a side salad, but it came with ranch dressing, which I assume is the standard choice since I didn't get to select my dressing. Honestly, ranch wouldn't have been my preference. This is why I rated the experience 4 out of 5 stars.

The Parm-crusted sourdough burger was disappointing. The patty lacked seasoning and didn't meet my expectations for Farmer Boys. It could have been an issue with how my order was prepared, but it seems like the dish might need some improvement overall.

The three egg breakfast and the French toast platter were both very good, And very affordable.

All of their food is great, well priced, good amount of food, fresh, good condiments. Will keep coming back and back for more.

I placed my order about 15 minutes before closing, and they really took care of me. The BBQ chicken salad I got was fantastic—huge portion, plenty of protein, and a good mix of veggies. The hard-boiled eggs were perfectly cooked, not overdone at all, and the chicken was just as good, if not better, than Cane's.
