Contribuiți la feedbackDuring our few weeks in the Moab area, I needed a workspace since I work remotely, and I was pleased to discover that Wake Bake Cafe had good reviews for that purpose. On my first day there, I decided to sit on the patio, though it was a bit chilly, which I later regretted. I spent the day enjoying the outdoor atmosphere. In my initial visits, I mostly ordered drinks, and eventually, we decided to try some food. While the food wasn’t particularly impressive in quality, it was enough to satisfy our hunger. There’s plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors, but parking can be quite limited in their lot. Be prepared to park on the street and walk to the café, especially since it shares the lot with another restaurant, which doesn't help the parking situation.
Initially, we thought the amount of ice cream for the price was not impressive; a 3 oz scoop for $2.00 felt a bit small. However, on our second visit, we were pleasantly surprised by a more generous scoop of the same size, and it was truly delicious. Two scoops cost $3.50. The service was friendly, and while I didn’t try other items on the menu, I noticed they offer breakfast served on paper plates, along with pizza, burritos, and more. The indoor seating is casual, with doors that open to a nice front patio, making it an inviting spot to relax.
The restaurant is slightly pricey but offers a convenient lunch option on Main Street in Moab. We've dined here before and weren't too impressed, but this time the paninis were fresh and flavorful, although on the smaller side. Their homemade potato chips were crunchy and packed with taste. I opted for a side salad instead of chips, and it was a refreshing mix of greens (no iceberg lettuce!) with a delightful house-made miso dressing that complemented it perfectly. You order at the counter and clean up after yourself, but there are plenty of tables available, and you can watch the cook prepare your food right behind the counter. The service was friendly and accommodating. Ice cream scoops are just $1, and while I enjoyed mine, my husband’s scoop was unfortunately freezer burned, which was a disappointment. The restaurant was clean overall, but the restrooms could use some attention as they seemed a bit neglected. Despite these minor issues, we were happy with our lunch experience.
This is a lovely little spot that's somewhat tucked away but definitely worth discovering. It's located within another restaurant but offers both indoor and outdoor seating, complete with misting systems. I had the Monte Cristo, which was not only delicious but also big enough to share. I also tried a refreshing cold Chai drink—though I can't remember the exact name, it was something like "Chaigasm." It was incredibly tasty, and I would definitely look for it again on my next visit. The waitstaff was very friendly as well!
After paying for my burrito and coffee, I went to grab my coffee cup, only to be told to get back in line. When I explained that I had already paid, he turned to the unpleasant woman behind the counter to verify my claim. It was just frustrating. To top it all off, the coffee was terrible. All in all, the service was awful, the food was bland and overpriced, the coffee was bad, and there are plenty of other places in town to choose from. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Trust me.
