Sunset Grill - Moab

The restaurant boasts spectacular views and a lovely ambiance. Getting there is part of the fun, as you can enjoy a scenic ride that connects with nearby attractions. We discovered that parking is available below, with a shuttle taking you up to the restaurant. We were pleased to be seated quickly, despite the crowd. However, we were disappointed to wait over an hour for our food. On the plus side, 90% of the dishes we tried were delicious. The only exception was the child's meal, which had an overwhelming amount of raw garlic—not suitable for a child's palate, or anyone's, really. The New York strip steak was excellent, as was the salmon. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner, even though we ended up spending much more time there than we had anticipated. It also seemed like the staff was a bit stretched, as our waiter had a lot on his plate while trying to keep everyone satisfied during the long wait for food.

Let me start by saying that it was worth every penny, but I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't find the prices of the main courses before I arrived. The pasta dishes started at $25, and the steaks went up to $45, which I’ve included in the menu photos—I hope they stay available. My honey pecan chicken ($28) was amazing, and my partner's NY Strip ($37) was absolutely mouthwatering. Each table in our section was occupied, with only four or five servers, and we felt really valued. Our server was attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. I realize that most vacationers might not be on a budget, but we were trying to keep costs down while still wanting a beautiful anniversary meal. It would have been nice to know what to expect in terms of pricing ahead of time. Still, I can confidently say it was worth every penny.

The service was excellent, and the views of Moab from the restaurant were spectacular. We enjoyed fresh seafood and steak while watching the sunset, and every seat offers a perfect vantage point of the city. The restaurant also boasts a diverse selection of wine, beer, and spirits. Additionally, there's a rich history associated with the restaurant and its founder.

We were initially outside and somewhat confused about the address for this restaurant, but then we saw John who approached us and asked us if we need help to get to the restaurant, John is a super nice shuttle driver for Sunset Grill. We really enjoyed the food, good taste, everyone ordered the first-class Rib Eye Special and my wife ordered the onion soup, which was all delicious. Erik was very nice and offers great service. It was a great time and great view! A must!

The only reason it's not a 5 star review, is because We weren't able to split the bill. I understand it's a nice place, but a few people in our party we didn't know and of course they didn't pay accordingly. Besides that it was great. The free shuttle service is genius. We spent more on drinks! Haha David the driver was ? awesome. The food was very good and I have to really give our server Wendell huge props for the best service! He was knowledgeable, on point, didn't miss a beat and made us feel comfortable. He needs a raise!! We will be back. But with a smaller party! Lol
