Great local restaurant away from the beach and the crowds. The menu is somewhat more refined than some of the other local restaurants we have tried out, while even more affordable than the resort restaurants on the beach. We definitely enjoyed the fish dishes more than the meat dishes, and the vegetarian was not too rabby. Would highly recommend for people looking for something different and more authentic.

Amazing restaurant that gives you the feeling (very) full. We even had leftovers and had to bring them home the next day. I can only recommend this place, thank you for the experience!

I just got the Swahili chicken curry (kukuku was kupata), but it was spirit blowing. Unlike any curry, I had super complex and surprising spices. And was super hot.

Only returned from this excellent Jambiani restaurant. It wasn't crowded at noon, so our order was ready in 15 minutes. Great taste (fish and Calamari), with taste and spices. Also very cheap prices. This place will surely call us back.

This restaurant is really difficult to find, but if you are travelling with Google maps you will find the way easily. My favourite dish was octopus and calamari- if you have the chance please try it! From the restaurant there’s no straight view on the ocean.
