I did call ahead and verify. When we arrived at 6pm.. , Christmas, it was chaos, unfortunately. They had so many unhappy people... we had to listen as people left.. I had with me, my favorite people.. my Brother and my Nephews... We were in absolute no hurry.. . We did have to listen to a few unhappy tables express their dissatisfaction with their visit.... people are awful... THIS Is when , as a parent Auntie) ... you have the opportunity to teach patience and compassion. We were fine and took this opportunity to talk and tell stories. I feel like this establishment missed out on a great opportunity to make Christmas memories... happy memories.. The night was saved by the kitchen.. we ordered 4 of the only thing offered on the menu to find out that only ..2 of the dinners weren't available.... They offered steaks, cooked to order, instead. I was weary...... But they were served 《 perfectly!》 The kitchen staff was able to pull it together!! The front of house needed help!! If you're open on a holiday, then own it. Be there for your staff If you want us to return, or recommend you to our people.. You need to up your game.... Have you seen your recent reviews?? They're awful I left the a 100$ tip because it's Christmas .... I hope they have the decency to share with the kitchen!
I rarely write reviews but this was worth my time to sit down and let everyone know about my experience. Every time we come here, Paul the GM and Sadie who is a server, treat us like family. I have a gluten allergy and Paul took extra time to make sure that even the sauce on my chicken was gluten free! When they realized it had gluten in it, they came up with something just for me. This place is a hidden gem and even coming here just for the staff is worth the trip. The staff are true missoula treasures. Check them out!
I was staying at the Holiday Inn and this is their resident restaurant. I had an excellent cream of mushroom soup made with buttery cream and just a hint of garlic, and about five mushroom slices. It was delicious from beginning to end. I loved it. Then, I had their Reuben Sandwich which was on the requisite rye bread and baked somewhat to blend the flavor so of the pastrami and sauerkraut. Again, quite nicely done and something to be enjoyed. Their menu wasn 't much above a 'grill ' level, but it all seemed interestingly described. The buffalo steak sounded like something I 'd like to try the next time I 'm there. A very nice and beautiful waitress served me punctually, with a smile. I 'd never hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a well-run bar and grill in Missoula.
Great patio!
