Basal - Missoula

This restaurant is incredibly modern and attractive. It is conveniently located near downtown Missoula, surrounded by charming shops and bars. If you are looking for a healthier dining option than places like 5 On Black, but don't want typical bar food or pizza, this is a great choice. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and the overall experience was excellent. However, I would not suggest ordering from them through Doordash or Grubhub, as they may not accommodate extra requests (I have tried multiple times before deciding to dine in instead). I highly recommend this restaurant for those who appreciate healthier options and a modern dining atmosphere while exploring downtown.

The large Brussel sprout Caesar salad $16.50) with added chicken for $6) was very tasty but surprisingly small for the price. At first I thought they forgot the brussel sprouts but when I got to the bottom I found 2 shavings. The amount of chicken was also surprisingly small maybe $2 worth). A bit disappointing for a healthy Missoula alternative.

AMAZING! fresh, delicious, filling and nutritious food. numerous options (easy to accommodate dietary restrictions) across different genres of food, from stir fry to smoothies.would come here all the time if i lived locally.

Lovely, airy space with a small patio. Definitely has that urban minimalist vibe.Very quick and friendly staff which I always appreciate so much!I had the chorizo bowl and a breve. The coffee was amazing. The bowl was super tasty as well. I only took one star off the food because well… I just think it’s a little overpriced for the portion. I do feel bad saying it but I don’t think I’m wrong. :/That being said, would I come here again? Yes I would and I probably will the next time I’m in town. Next time I’m trying the seasonal bowl.

The salad choices are very good, although they can be a bit expensive. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious.
