The Franklin House - Mississauga

I am aware that this restaurant is a popular choice in the Streetsville area and may be family-owned. However, the staff is limited. The food quality is good, but I had to wait 45 minutes to receive my order.

We were eager to try out this pub because it looked intriguing from the outside. Our server was friendly and accommodating, but unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. I ordered the beef quesadilla which was flavorless. My husband ordered the wings and some of them had a fishy smell, leading us to question if they were spoiled or cooked in the same oil as fish. Additionally, the carrot and celery sticks served with the wings were clearly not fresh. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality of the food and do not plan on returning to this establishment.

I was totally disappointed with this establishment. I ordered the chicken wings and beef poutine and my wife ordered the beef quesadilla. My wife said that her meal was really blah, no flavour. My chicken wings were ok but had a fishy smell and my...beef poutine had only one piece of beef. I also ordered a Guinness and the server brought it in a strongbull glass. I’ll not recommend this place nor will I go back. Such a shame for this historic building.

Service was very slow because one girl was handling both the bar and the restaurant service. It’s pretty much a dive. What appears to be regular customers are loud and obnoxious. Great location but tables are sticky, food choices are ordinary and we just wanted...to eat and run. Chicken wings were dry. Veggie burger very messy to eat. So much potential but we will go elsewhere another time. Streetsville is quaint and deserves to have a decent restaurant.

Service was mediocre . Food was terrible temp of food was tepid warm nothing was hot. The chicken sliders should not be on the menu. They were literally a breaded chicken strip cut in three and served on a stale, cold slider bun....Did not eat any of the buns as I said they were cold and stale .... I should have sent the meal back. Very disappointing as they could easily step it up with the food and be a great local pub. Did complain whilst there .... they do not care.
