Contribuiți la feedbackI have enjoyed great meals at this restaurant before, but lately they have been inconsistent. During my last visit, I ordered Samosas and Pakoras. The Pakoras were decent, but the Samosas were bland and not filled properly. Mr. India Haveli is conveniently located near my home. Although White Gold Sweets is no longer around, their food consistently outshines Mr. India Haveli. I think I will stick with White Gold for now.
I ordered take-out from this restaurant last Sunday, 28th March. Unfortunately, I did not receive a receipt and the customer service was terrible. The food made me and my companions sick, causing us to spend 2 days waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. The Biryani we ordered was essentially just plain Jeera fried rice with a few pieces of chicken bones and no masala. It was a disappointing experience and I would recommend avoiding this restaurant if you want to avoid getting sick.
The restaurant's prices are high for the quality of food you receive. Portion sizes are inconsistent, likely due to the kitchen staff primarily being inexperienced cooks. The menu displays lower prices for ordering two items instead of one, but when questioned, the staff may deny the discount. The food is average, especially if you enjoy Punjabi cuisine, but the delivery service is poor. Containers are often dirty and not cleaned before being packed into bags. The restaurant's decor is lacking, with a table covered in a torn plastic film displaying Diwali sweets. The lack of ventilation causes your clothes to smell like spices long after leaving. Overall, it's not recommended for a quick lunch before heading to work. Despite the current pandemic, Mr. India Haveli lacks attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
I ordered the food through eating and eating was stale after I consumed it I was sick for 2 days, bad vomiting, wrong order, I wish I could make a formal complaint.
After reading the terrible review I thought I had better check if it had gone downhill since my review over a year ago. I am always sceptical about a reviewer who only does one review. I found the food just as good as before. I...don’t think they are cooking far in advance. It was busy just at the start of evening rush hour and I had to wait for a new batch of Bhindi Masala to come out of the kitchen. Fish Pakora was on special and was very good. The Chicken Biryani portion was easily enough for four. With some Saag Paneer to round out the meal and of course some Butter Naan my wife and I were very satisfied and she had enough Biryani for her lunch the next day.
