Mom's Recipe Chicken - Mississauga

I don't know how this restaurant is up to 4 stars rating, maybe it was ratings, it's opened around 12.30 clock with a man running, but it has nothing ready like hot water, suppe and something else, we ordered hainan chicken rice and sweet and sour ananas swam. the chicken was terrible, it wasn't hot at all, suppe was just lukewarm. I do not recommend this restaurant.

I visited Mom's Recipe Chicken recently in the Mississauga Chinatown Plaza to sample some of their chicken creations I have heard recently.Whether it is Soy Sauce Chicken or Hainanese Chicken on Rice, this place has dedicated themselves to solely chicken. However, my experience was a bit hit or miss.I ordered a box of their Shredded Chicken for dinner and I was a tad disappointed of how dry the meat was. The flavour was there, but not ever the green onion and ginger sauce could save of how dry the chicken was.The owner was nice and provided great service, however I think I might try another chicken dish to maybe give them another shot.

Great restaurant. The tea chicken is amazing. Even though they are a chicken restaurant, they have a secret chinese menu and they have Mei Cai Kou Rou, which is amazing.

It honestly is not very good. They are too ambitious with the types of chicken dishes they try to do. In China, normally each restaurant specialize in one or two chickeen dishes and they are HARD to make well. Here they try to do everything and they are all kinda bad. Not authentic at all.

I’ve been here several times, the prices is fair and affordable, and I love the dishes. One of the dishes I would recommend is the tea fragrant chicken, and I also really enjoy one soup call “猪肚鸡”
