Contribuiți la feedbackLast week, my family and I visited Idli Street with high hopes, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The dishes we ordered were nothing special, and the choco dosa we ordered for our 2-year-old was burnt, tasted bitter, and had a burnt smell. When we asked for a replacement, the server initially dismissed our concerns by claiming it was chocolate. After speaking to a colleague and the chef, they refused to change the dish, insisting that this was how it was meant to be. Despite the friendly service, we were dissatisfied with the quality of the food. We do not plan on returning to Idli Street, but felt it was important to share our experience. We have included photos of the burnt choco dosa as evidence.
This place is much better than Gurulakshmi! I am comparing it to Gurulakshmi because people say it is really good. This place offers some interesting and delicious appetizers compared to other Dosa restaurants. I don't know what to order, so I asked the owner for recommendations and everything was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Gobi 65, especially the masala that came with it. We also tried the Idli chaat, which was a surprising and tasty combination. I recommend trying it. For those who love ghee, the ghee roast dosa is a must-try as the taste is amazing. However, my only complaint is that the masala dosa was not as long as expected. We ordered the masala dosa and paper dosa, but they both looked the same length. If it is advertised as a paper dosa, it should be longer than a regular dosa. Idli fans should try the podi idli, as it is one of my favorite dishes. Lemonade fans should definitely order the mojito or lemonade, both of which were excellent. Overall, the experience was good. The customer service and ambiance were welcoming, and the owners made sure we were well taken care of. I hope to give an extra star next time, but only if they can make the paper dosa a little longer.
Finally, there is a great spot in Brampton for South Indian cuisine. The ambiance is nice and the restaurant is spacious. The menu offers a variety of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. I tried two different types of masala dosas, idli, vadas, and gobi 65. The chutneys and sambar were excellent. Don't miss out on the filter coffee! It took a bit of time to place my order, but the service was quick afterwards. Overall, this is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys South Indian food.
We had a nice experience in idli street. we sat within 10 minutes, immediately placed the order and the first dishes came in 5 minutes. eating was delicious, although the chutney is a little less than I used to. the masala in biryani and chicken 65 was very well balanced. Moreover, the staff was very friendly and efficient. we were very welcome, and we had a great experience overall.
I have ordered a takeout with plain idli, set dosa and paneer biryani. All the items were good and enough portions for the prices. They gave plenty of chutney and sambar with idli and set dosa. The paneer biryani had fresh and soft paneer with homemade style Palau. If you don’t expect a Hyd dum style rice, then it’s a nice and tasty biryani.
