Grano Ristorante - Mississauga

Family owned and operated, great food and absolutely wonderful service. SO and I go here a few times a year, usually on our special occasions or when we're craving for great Italian food. It's a small spot, maybe ~30 seats max. Def call ahead for reservations, esp if you've got a group bigger than 4 or if you plan on dining on a weekend (Fri, sat).Food - wise, I'm a huge fan of their seafood pasta, and their gnocci with gorgonzola sauce. I also order the osso bucco when it's offered. For dessert, I'd recommend the Fantasy but they don't offer it all the time.

Excellent dining experience, under new ownership since our last visit and it did not disappoint. Still a popular spot so do reserve! We enjoyed a flavourful bruschetta, coupled with complimentary garlic bread. A wiser choice would have been a salad instead of two carbs but they were both good. Linguini pescatore was a hit with its spicy tomatoe sauce. I enjoyed the pollo amore, chicken in a wonderful creamy amoretto sauce with apricots and walnuts. The entrees were served piping hot and mine was accompanied with bright green / mixed vegetables and wonderful mashed potatoes. Service was excellent. Took the desert to go, portions were generous and reasonably priced. After dinner discovered a lovely Japaneese Garden across the street. The perfect spot for an after dinner stroll on a beautiful summers evening.

Friends recommended this restaurant and we were anxious to try it. We were placed at a table above the reception table where it was a little noisy with the phone ringing. It is very small and there is a great table tucked away near the bar but it was given to regular customers. The lady who took our order was difficult to understand and she never returned to make sure all was OK. We had to ask our waitress to bring more water as she was too busy chatting with friends at the next table. Food was OK but not great.

My family has been dining at Grano for years, and Saturday night was my first visit since new management took over. I was incredibly impressed! The gnocchi was just as delicious as always, but it was the exceptional treatment by the staff that truly blew me away. While my brother and sister-in-law are regulars at the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary bottle of prosecco upon arrival, along with a delightful prosciutto-wrapped peach salad. It's clear that Grano values customer service. This hidden gem offers a sanctuary where you can escape the stresses of the day and enjoy a traditional dining experience. At Grano, it's not just about the food, it's about cherishing moments with loved ones. I was concerned that the new management might change the restaurant, but I couldn't be happier with the improvements. Thank you, Grano - we will definitely be returning.

Grano has been our "date night" destination for years without a bad experience ! Food is always incredible. The new ownership has even elevated our experience and i didn't think that was even possible ! We always feel appreciated for being loyal patrons and Dave makes us feel so special each visit. You can't go wrong with grano - ever! This review is long overdue and I'm going to share it with as many review sites i can find. It's that good! Thank you grano and thank you Dave! He did not put me up to this review and he wouldn't even ask - that's the kind of guy he is.
